Tender

Two new brackets for the tender water feed pipes have been made and welded to the underside of the tender tank, the two pipe clips that clamp the pipe to the brackets have also been made and trial fitted.

 Machining work has been completed on the tender front brake shaft bearing brackets, these just need the bolt holes drilling, once alignment checks have been done.

As per the previous report, work focuses on replacement of stolen items. The two purchased second hand boiler clack valve castings have been thoroughly measured and corrections are currently being machined to the valve components themselves, to correct dimensional inaccuracies.

Material has been machined for the middle big end cotter locking clamps and washers, the fiddly and tedious process of machining serrated locating grooves in all of these parts has begun.

Work continues on cleaning boiler and firebox cladding.
