The last of the driving wheel axleboxes is shown set on the vertical borer ready for machining.

Our contractor has been working elsewhere since the beginning of January but is now back working on Boscastle.

Up to Christmas, work continued on the driving wheel axleboxes with 5 of the 6 machined to size and stored ready for final fitting. So our apologies for the lack of updates, but one axlebox does look much like another !

During this period our volunteers have been working hard to clean and spot prime the inside of the frames. These are starting to look much better and are now being painted into undercoat - photo's to follow soon..
