We are now preparing the locomotive for re-wheeling, the photo's show several days work.
The front bogie was assembled first and can be seen above about half way through the process, with pallets of components ready for fitting.
The trailing truck was tackled next and the above right photo shows it complete except for a few small comonents.
Lastly, after moving the wheels twice with a crane and a great deal of shunting to clear the track ,the wheels were rolled into the shed in front of the locomotive. The photo on the right shows the whole ensemble in the shed for final fitting work to be done.
