The old and badly bent bufferbeam (seen above) has been removed along with the damaged gusset plates behind.

The top right view shows the bufferbeam during removal, the lower right view shows the left front gusset plate with the bufferbeam plate removed. The gusset plate is also bent and thinner than it should be, so will be removed and replaced.
